The reason is "very" simple

Market vauluation is too "high", eventually, institutions "have" to unload to create space for future gains. There are literally hundreds of ways to "tigger" a sell off, and each time when sell-off happens, media just pick one of those events to grab maintream eyeballs.

But fundamentally, it is valuation
