上周末，見到我表姐的小孩

他在國內拿了碩士後在外企做了一年， 電腦晶片，3年前來美，花了一年時間，拿了個ee碩士，畢業前在加州一家大公司找到一份工作，最近買了60-70萬的房子。我問他來美感覺如何？他笑著說，他上海以前的同事，最近工資漲得很快，年薪都有5-6萬美金。

I did  not know how to interprete his response. I was the one who arranged his admission to his graduate program here and who strongly encouraged him to stay here. 

真是三十年河東，三十年河西。30年前的留學生，一有正式工作，收人是國內以前同事的30多倍，現在，也就2-3 倍了。
