普通士兵確實少，跟軍隊的傳統有關。

中國軍隊最早是人民軍隊，三大紀律、八項注意，紀律很嚴格，強奸婦女要槍斃的。
而且中國軍隊比西方軍隊民主（奇怪吧，軍隊反而民主），普通軍官經常幫助普通士兵。
但是高層非常腐敗。首長玩女護士是普遍現象。
