MSFT has become commodity ever since the Internet era.

General consensus is that they are no longer innovative, and completely misjudged Internet business model, and has missed the boat (some say forever).

That being said, Microsoft Office is still the cash king, and the King of Kings in that domain. Apple tried with their own suite but failed.

In IT industry, it's never a zero-sum game. Whenever new concept or trend is introduced, the pie just grows bigger and bigger.

Remember the prophesy by Bill Gates, that nobody would EVER need a hard drive bigger than 640K? Look at where we are now:)
