隻是對你的做法有點異議:
首先,在美國,不能對陌生人突然來這麽長個講演,人家不知道你到底要幹什麽,想走又不禮貌,隻好耐心等你說完。對不認識的人,無論說什麽,都要簡單明了。
我為什麽當時沒解釋?因為我坐得比較遠,並且開始吃東西了,我看到他拿了麵包就走了,我當時也愣了,後來看她又烤了麵包,就不想跑過去解釋了。如果當時我在旁邊,肯定會替他道歉,但是不會說很多,隻是說:“Sorry, his first time here, he didn't know he took your bread”,她肯定明白的。
第二,那段英語有一點語法方麵的flaw:
Sorry the guy is the first time to be here. ---- the first time 不能這麽用,應該是 Sorry, it is the first time for him to be here, 或者: Sorry, it's his first time here, ...
He is not familiar with this kind of way for breakfast. ---- ‘this kind of way for' 沒見過這個用法,可以說‘he is not familiar with this kind of breakfast',或者 he doesn't know much about such kind of breakfast 可能更常用一些。
He accidentally took your bread. ---- ‘accidentlly'太重了,he took your bread by mistake 更合適一些。
The Lady would usually say: "If it is ok, I know he must be very hungary." ---- 'If it is ok' 不太清楚想說什麽,你是想說‘It's ok,I know he must be very hungry’?
當然,我也不是說自己都對。如果挪威星能幫你就更好了。
