The bailout was started by Bush not OB. Now GM mainly owned by gov and union, still not paying back all the tax payers'money while they gave thounds$bonus for themself. The GM's business got better was due to chinese market to large extent. It is still loss >20K$ for every Volt, actually they shut down a few factories to make Volt. If you look at United and a few other airlines they all went under and getting back without a large gov bailout as OB is proud
