to talk about? I was attending a meeting in France about 12 yrs. ago, and w/o warning, the airport workers went on strike and ALL the flies were cancelled. Thousands of passengers got stranded. Many European countries are so-called socialists countries, with high tax, good benefits and many entitlements. Unemployment is high and many people do not work and collect benefits. Certainly the good aspects of socialism is the benefits, such as long vacation, maternity leave, etc. But somebody has to pay for them! I'm not too worried about genetically engineered food. In-state tuition for college students in US is pretty reasonable.
Many European countries are actually not doing well, particularly with debt, society full of entitlement and unemployed people. Of course, others are doing better, such as Germany, but has to spend hard earned $ to bail out the declining countries.
