Georgia O'keeffe fell in love with a photographer Alfred Stieglitz (also a gallery owner), and married him after his divorce to his then wife was finally approved. Afred is 23 years older than Georgia. He hated travel. Georgia loved traveling and nature and her sis Ada accompanied her often for these trips). Georgia first traveled to New Mexico in 1929 summer. 

Georgia O'keef 在紐約的時候以畫close up 的大flower出名。後來她來到new mexico ,就愛上了這裏，在大山中間的一個很小很小的村子裏麵， abiquiu ， 買了一個房子，叫 ghost ranch。 alfred去世之後，她就定居在這裏。有機會一定去看看。

以前喜歡她的花兒，現在喜歡她的山。
