Bank of China has a branch in NYC.

If you want to save the wire transfer fees which are charged by both sides, you may ask the Bank of China to write you a check and have it mailed to you.  Then you may deposit it to your bank account in US since BOC at NYC is a "US Bank".  So, The transaction is free:-)  There is one thing which is very important.  Don't lose that check which will bring you big trouble.
