Beijing housing cost is about 5 times as much as average (or median) US housing cost. If your hu*****and's income will be significantly more than what you two have been making (assuming you are only temporarily out of job), you living standard will be significantly lower.
Of course, labor cost will be cheaper if you want to hire a few servants (but see a post at the top).
