His major problem that he went undrafted in NBA is not his race. It is his choice of universities. Asian Americans, especially their parents, like Ivy league schools. Going to a good university will not only make himself proud but also his family. His choice is limited to Standford and Harvard. Standford is a smart choice. A very good college in one of the big six conferences (PAC12). However, when he failed at stanford, there are still many schools in big six conferences (Big Ten, Big12, ACC, Big east and SEC). But his choice is harvard. Who cares, who watches. U did good, because Ivy league is nobody in sports. If he made the same achievement in college in Duke, UNC, UF, UK, Uconn et al, he will never go undrafted.

亞洲人有名校情節,林和他家人也不例外.他申請的是清一色IVY LEAGUE學校和加州的STANFORD,UCLA等名校.而IVY是不給sports scholarship的.

有關名校情節,這回在國內被朋友問得都煩了.認識的同學朋友凡兒女上了高中的,無一例外要送孩子來美國上名校,我說名校每年就招那麽幾個人,值得這麽去擠嗎?上好的專業更值得.隻有一個朋友聽了進去,托我給買美國大學專業排名的書.教授幫個忙,是不是有學校專業排名的,我好象看到過.
