I think anything is possible if she is determined and talented.
Ask the following questions:
1. Is she good at English, both written and speaking?
2. What is her past track record in term of getting things done by herself? Does she have the ability to carry through a tough project?
3. Does she understand what it means to support herself in US? For most people, there is no short cut, no quick and easy solution. She needs to set the expectation correctly and be prepared to work hard for next 10 to 20 years to get what she wants.
4. How organized is she? There is lot more things that each individual needs to take care of, it could be overwhelming for those that are used to the privileged life style in China.
