The article calls out Baltazar DaRosa as making almost $300k this year as a cop. I thought that number was absurd, but a quick google search (which I guess the writer couldn’t bother themselves with), shows that he was fired in 2010.
He was reinstated just a few months ago, with back pay from his wrongful firing back in 2010. That’s 3 years salary in one year. $300k is a huge number, but that’s some terrible reporting not giving the full story.
