Solar first, then battery, then grid

Pure off grid system will need a huge battery system, Hybrid system will use grid as backup. Battery would be better to be big enough to support your everyday driving need. for example: if you drive 100mile a day, you need 20~25KWh battery. battery should be also large enough to fit your off grid solar system. check "diysolarforum" for more info.
