1. Your car is under warranty, 4 years and 50,000 miles for all Volvo cars
2. Test your battery. You can go any car parts store for free test or you can test by youself
3. If you have battery tester that would be best. You should know the CCA - cold cranking amps and resistance.
if the resistance R > 10 that you need a new battery. The CCA is most important to know. Different car require different CCA. Some car CCA > 650 Amps. If your car CCA < 250 Amps, I suggest to have a new battery.
