VA賣車，買家要求在title上交易日期寫下一年避稅，會有問題嗎？【已解決 交易取消了】

坐標VA. 車型2015年Honda Accord. 買家說：“can we put the official sale date as in 2020, like january 5, 2020? in 2020, the car will be older than 5 years, and then I will not need to pay extra tax on the sale.”

我上網查了一下，有網站說 "No sale is final until you complete a title transfer. Without this step finalized, the seller may be liable for fines and violations associated with the car."  並且title上的成交日期和 Bill of Sale也有可能會不一樣了。

我給買家發郵件表達了這些疑問，買家回複說: "bill of sale can be any date; before or same date as the title date. we can also put odometer reading on title transfer after which you will not be responsible for anything. it is only two months until the end of 2019, and I donot want to pay extra tax on this sale."

請問有人遇到這種情況嗎？ 另外我在網上沒有查到滿5年的車交易可以減免稅的規定。謝謝！

貼一個AVVO網上律師的回複：

“You are about to get schemed... If you do this, the taxes remain YOUR responsibility... Also, if he crashes, destroys or trashes the car, he can always say it isnt his vehicle. It is, after all, still titled in your name. Camera tickets he gets will end up at your house. And the list goes on.

There is no reason why you would help another person commit tax fraud...”

和Buyer說不行，buyer 已經取消購車了。謝謝大家。
