battery not die, the maintenance cost generally is lower. The other point people talked is charge much cheaper than gas. This probably not true, at least in the future. Right now, a big % of gas price is tax, like CA, while recharge doesn't have extra tax at all. Soon or late, when state gov. feel huge loss in gas tax, they will come after you.
