used price is also getting higher because many think it could run for 200k+ mile. I don't know if it is true without major repairments. I sold my 10 year old, 120Kmile corolla at the begining of this year for $5.3k, I bought new for <$15k. years ago I had one having transmission failure at 140kmile, I wouldn't take chance again
