i went to above link, it's a crap! i followed the instruction to access california lagislature info website, on "text search", it dumped.
I know for a fact that no tint allowed in two front door windows as i got a ticket for it a few years ago.
then this one talks about 4 inches tint on windshield. again, their link does not work either:
