Very true. According how much car makers pay their suppliers.

Honda,Toyota, VW, pay more to suppliers.
GM, Chrysler use lower end suppliers.
I wend to DMS which makes dashboard for GM car. they bought used machines we made 15 years ago.
they put glue for un-welded parts. you can expect those cars will make a lot noise because the part will come apart.
3 years ago, a fuel neck fall down from a Malibu in Nashville airport. I went there to investigate the cause. I found out they still use our 20 years old machine, which old technology and not calibrate correct.
Lower end suppliers hire lower paid engineer who are not qualified for the work.
