Sounds like your Camry is 2001 or earlier (5s-FE engine), water driven by timing belt. Need to remove timing belt to replace the pump – gravy job! 2002 and after (2AZ-FE engine) pump is drive belt driven. Pump job is not as gravy as 5s-FE but still good. Toyota pump uses ceramic seal, seal must be lubricated by a certain amount of coolant. Excessive coolant will weep out through the weeping hole right under the pump pulley – which in most cases are normal. If you don’t see any coolant on the ground after the engine idle for 5 ~ 10 mins, chances are your pump is still ok.
