Rear brake pad and brake fluid has been changed in the Honda dealer.
I asked them can they give me discount because I got lower quote from Sears?
When I went to the shop, one Asian staff print one brake pad coupon for me, save $30.
My area is not very flat, there are many slopes, dealer told me it's very common to change pad after 3 years 4 months even though only 17,000 miles. I am not sure.
If it's really lower quality, I won't buy Honda Accord in the future.
Now Asian stuff told me, technician found another problem :
Thers is small leaking oil in my engine becasuse of Rubber maybe becomes to hard. So he recommended me to :
Replacing Valve Cover Gasket. (Found Valve cover gasket leaking oil)
Is it very common for this ?
parts: $5,
labor: 1.5 hours--------$180
At last they gave me $50 discount: final price: $130
But I still wonder do I really need to change? At last he said I can change next time.
Any experience to share? I heard some dealer will recommend some service not necessary to woman because they can see woman don't understadn the car.
Thank you expert's experience.
