我朋友這車 - ford, explorer, 2002， 不但變速器壞了，

front drive shaft also missing. 變速器油是滿的，所以是機器問題。修車工說他可以rebuild, for $2200. 
我問了修車工他要不要買，他說如果他買，$500。
大家看這是不是倒黴定了？沒有其他辦法了？
