this is a 1250cc motorcycle. If I understand you correctly, you've never ridden a bike before. This is going to be a very bad idea to start with 1250cc bike. This one is more than 550 pound weight and as soon as you lose balance (which will happen often to new rider), then you realize how heavy it is. Friendly advice is to start with 300cc or 600cc if you want to push. If the weight is around 400~430lb then it's should be alright.
As for motorcycle lifetime, it can run much more than 20K miles depending on how the owner taking care of it. I'm riding a 600cc bike which is just over 20K miles (2004 model) and it runs great. it's weight is only 460 pounds which is already considered heavy sport bike. Usually motorcycle parts replacement is much simpler than a car.
it's a really bad idea to buy this one, not because of price
