hmmm... a gas version of e300?

maybe it's in euro market only?

to my shallow knowledge, e300 has been dedicated to diesel since 1992, such as
e300 diesel
e300 turbodiesel
e300 cdi
e300 bluetec

i have never heard of an e300 being gas in mercedes line-up.  the closest models with a gas engine have been:
c230
c280
c300
e320
e350
e400

have i been wrong for so many years?
