your case is not about the battery, apparently the tire shop damaged the stem - tmps sensor was in, when they rebalanced tires. your panel should be able to indicate which one is out, so let the shop replace that stem. it's inexpensive but they should be responsible for the cost.
(my car has oe tmps. a few months ago i found out one of my rims was bent, i bought one and asked discount tire to swap the tire. granted the stem had to be moved onto the new rim. there was a crash washer being used so they "rebuilt" the tpms sensor for that rim and i paid $11).
most tpms internal batteries will run out in about 6 years
