For me I treat the Toyota warranty in this way:
1. I find a <36K Toyota car, the shipping and first 2 year depreciation has been beared by the previous owner already. Try to cut the dealer price by $2-3K, the online price for geniune Toyota warranty is only 1K, much better than the original factory warranty.
2. So I get a pretty new car $8-10K less than the brand new one, plus 90K(125K-36K) bumper to bumper coverage and free car rental
3. If I need to sell it, my extended warranty is the biggest selling point! It can be transferred to the next owner for only $30-50. Who can find a car with 100K mile and still with factory warranty? Rare....
