There will be no problems at all to non pro/performance vehicles. Any sized rims can comfortably adapt a fairly wide range of tire widths. OEM size is only one of them.
For example, my car OEM tire size is 205/55/R16; after changed OEM tires at 35Km, I used 215/50/R16 for summer driving; R225/50/R16 snow tires for winter driving. I go to dealer service dept for tire swap twice a year and they never asked me or questioned me anything. My odo speed is dead on with the 225 tires. Summer tires seemed to get 4 mph off at 60mph compared to GPS, and OEM is about 2~2.5mph off. Now you should get the kind of idea when you plan on changing your OEM tire size. Wish this help.
