The Engine should be a 1.8 Turbo with 20 valves. If a P0011-The camshaft actuator is in the rear of the head under the valve cover, and controls the relationship of the 2 cams in the head by changing the chain tension. This engine has a timing belt and a timing chain. The actuator is oil pressure controlled and is a common failure point. The oil level and quality are important. These engines are notorious for sludge buildup and clogging oil pickups. Lack of oil at the head are the most common. The next most common is the plastic chain guides on the tensioner itself. They wear down and allow the chain timing to change enough for the computer to see a problem. The worn down guides will usually make a bit of noise. If no abnormal noises in head, the actuator might not be getting enough oil to actuate fully and throw the code also. If a Cam sensor code was also there when scanned, I would change it first.
