3. You can also sen if the lower control arms are new or old, because this recall just started a few months ago (last december); 4. This is a 4-hrs job; dealer will use a nuematic punch to check the remaininf life span of the control arm body; if failed, they will replace both control arms for free. If passed, they will do further rust prevention on these control arms.  I did my 02 impreza just before x-mas(replaced both due to one side control arm having 1/3 body thicknessleft) when they sawpping my snow tires....Good luck with the deal.
