I took the car to dealer and here is what they said: Road test and confirmed erratic shift conditions at low speeds; hooke dup techstream and no codes found or malfunctionbns. checked fluid condition. dark and seems burnt smelling. performed active shift test with tech stream and trans not staying in 1st gear and when shifting to second tries to shift back and forth from first to second. performed line pressure test ("D" ramge, od;e 50psi, stall 60psi pressure too low for "D" range stall). recommend: trans assembly with torque converter, flush trans cooler, replace transmission. cost will be nearly $5000.
I asked about EMC, and they insisted EMC works fine. Asking why the problems only occur after driving serveral miles later and without problem with high speed, and they said it will be worse soon. I have reboot the computer couple days again. Now the engine light is on again. so, please help, will change transmission oil and torque converter solve the problem? And is it right that transmission has died according to dealer? Thanks for help. The car is only worth around serveral thousands. Please give me some suggestions.
