did you compare their safty features?

other than what you have paid attention to - looking, space, comfortability and performace, the more important safty features ought to be under consideration - such as 4-disc brake, STP, uni-body vs on frame...

if you plan to diy, you might also check their engine bay design - is oil filter on top? (think about honda putting oil filter at bottom of engine no matter how careful you are you will always spill oil when changing the filter), tranny tube location (be aware some cars does not have a tranny dipstick, bad because you can't do maintenance yourself and probably only dealer can do it for $500 or up), belt access, does it use most common fluids or special ones (like honda trans fluid), etc.
