史迷,snapon was right.

you don't really need to pay too much attention to fluid inside converter. if you change fluid frequently (don't need to change trans fluid every time with oil change though), your trans fluid will be clean enough.

what snapon recommended (mityvac) is a good tool.  costing about $70 makes your life much easier.
