Filters are important

All filters are important, particularly for engine oil and transmission.  those are inside of canisters and you don't see how it performs.  N years ago, my car tranny failed - can't reverse.  I drove it to an euro shop where rebuild was decided.  While I was there, they lowered the assembly and dropped the pan, right in front of me, they pointed out and I saw - the filter was torn with a wide openning; clearly the trans fluid had been circulating without filtering, and tranny was eventually destroyed (that filter was purchased from Autozone and installed by me, forgot what brand could be stp) .  Ever since I have only used the best filters for my cars -  Mann filters.  Just slightly cost more but well worth it comparing a big bill repair.
