if fuel pump doesn't work, you need to confirm

the problem first. shot the main relay, send 12v signal to fuel pump directly. if still doesn't work, you need to replace the pump. if the pump works, you have to check main relay or onborad computer(pcm).  Anyway $300 for fuel pump is not bad.

WHat's maker and model? if honda accord, You may need to replace main relay instead of pump. because it's a very common problem for 2000 honda.  But check and confirm problem first.
