After owning VW cars over a long stretch, you will find-
(1) VW didn't test its cars enough before putting into production. Not all but quite a number of engines have fatal design flaws (don't ask me how I know).
(2) Cost of maintenance is unreasonable high - for DSG transmission, every 40k, you will need to have it serviced at dealer (regular shops can't do it) about $500.
