Beetles or others? Thanks!

Hi,

I am planning to buy a new car (budget $20,000), and am debating between Beetles and Mini Cooper. May I know which one is recommended for city driving?

Also what will be the ideal price for 2010 Beetles with auto-mission and sun-roof? I am in L.A., how about the estimated insurance for the 2010 beetles?
