Well, I do not think it is a big problem that will cost you $150

Unless the parts for your van are very expensive.  Reset will erase the code but it will come back in most case, and before you can run the van with the OBDII system ready.  Find a good mechanic shop to fix it, then drive around 100 miles to get the system ready.
