Talked to the Dealer today. The formal name is "stiffening bracket". Sway bar is typically mounted on the suspesion, on the bottom of the car, like on a truck based SUV. Since GL is unibody construction, there is no separate frame. So to increase the stiffness of the vehicle, this "bracket" is used on the top of the engine to form a "box" construction with the bottom body to improve its handling during turns. Thanks for your comments. Learined something new.
