I will encourage you to fight your ticket, you have great chance to win. 1. Check the violation code, running stop sign, citation code should be CVC 22450, if the cop put wrong code, you will win.2. Most likely the old lady cop is not traffic cop patrol the street , she is just passing in your area. Normally this kind of senior officer will not show up in the court only for one case even she can get OT for the court trip.
I will suggest you: 10 days before the appearance day,call the court and ask for extension, just say you need time to prepare for the money. The court clerk will give your two months extension (currently), this will increase the chance the cop will not show up. 10 days before your new appearance day, pay your ticket and file not guilt and ask for court trial. Don't be afraid.You can still ask for traffic school if you loss the case.
