My boss's eyes were out on stalks when he knew I had fixed

My boss's eyes were out on stalks when he knew I had fixed an air conditioning blower speed controller board equipped on a Rolls Royce Silver Spur 8 years ago. I diagnosed the final power stage on the circuit board and found out one power transistor is bad. It cost me $4.00 bucks got a new transistor that is different from the original one but it was interchangeable and I soldered it on the board. It works great. My boss said no American technician can do the same work as WHAT I did for this Rolls Royce. He quot for the controller from OEM it cost $1500.00 and need wait at least 6 week to ship to our shop because they need find an engineer in Italy to make a new board. They have no any parts in stock. The original controller was made by an Italian engineer in 1985. It didn't use any IC but all separate elements soldered together by hands.
