First, I meant Mazda CX-9 (not CR-9). I just checked its VIN, it is made in Japan. It was rated best CUV in 2009. Here is a link with some further details. Please note the pricing mentioned there is Canadian dollars. It is much cheaper in USA. http://www.wheels.ca/reviews/article/782491
