Car remote is just like garage remote... they learn.

Make sure you buy the same model (code on your remote), then it will generate the same frequency.

I also have another car that has different alarm system, the remote looks different. I trid to make the other car to learn my new remote... no, it did not learn. So, make sure you buy the same remote (same model/code, same look).
