Based on your previous message, I almost sure you have the 3rd party (not the manufacture built-in) alarm.
the code - I mean the model.
1. Go to eBay, or google, search the code/model on your remote.
2. Make sure the shape and number of bottons are all the same, color may be different.
3. Make sure the remote you are buying is NEW, don't buy used one, and comes with instructions.
When you received the remote and instructions, follow the instructions... something like:
- Insert key into the igitions...
- hold on the switch (alarm switch, NOT the remote) for 3 seconds.
- LED light blinks 1 time
- press the remote button #1 (the alarm is learning).
- alarm beep once.
- LED linght blinks 2 times (ready to learn 2nd button)
- press remote 2nd button.
...
- repeat the steps for "remote trunk/power sliding door" and "remote engine start"
*** Above steps are based on my memory... I just did this 2 months ago.
The remotes are not cheap (and hard to find), and they are easy to break. So, if you got the new remote work, buy 2nd one for spare, because you may not be able to find it again later.
Good luck!
You need to match the code on your remote.
