pull off plug wire checking for oil leak in spark plug well.
up hill driving at 45mph or so checking for noise for wheel bearing, Also watching for 3rd to 4th gear switch for pre-mature worn (problem engaging 4th gear?).
drive on bumps checking for loose ball joints (cluck noise)
accelerate hard and release gas paddle suddenly check for hesitation (problem can be due to engine mounts, dirt IACV etc).
visually check grease around PCV. Air intake leakage...
