This has nothing to do with deductibles. I can not believe so many people are not clear about this:

1. If you fix other people's car using your insurance because it was your fault, then your insurance company will cover all the repair cost. Either you report to your insurance company or not is up to you, depending on the cost of the repair. If the cost is low, maybe it is a good idea that you just pay out of your pocket.

2. If you fix your own car because you demaged it, and you need your insurance to cover it, you will pay the deductible. It means the you pay the dedectible first to cover some of the repair cost, then the insurance pays trhe remaining part.
