Summer & winter many things change which can affect your mpg.

If you just want to test whether A/C decrease your mpg in summer, that's super easy.

One full tank no AC, record mpg.
One full tank with AC, record mpg. Same route as before.

If you still see same mpg, go claim for Nobel laurel.
