The price seems expensive, you should be to negotiate the price to lower. A few years ago, I got 7 year/80K Miles Odyssey extended warranty for around $800.

Also, it is not necessary to buy extended warranty along with your new car purchase. While I purchased my extended warranty, I was told that as long as I buy the warranty within 6K miles, the price is the same.

Also, it is not necessary to buy extended warranty from same dealer from whom you buy the car, you can get it from other honda dealer, even from dealer in different state, through online purchase.
