It'd be too simple minded to categorize one as “要麵子” when he/she wants to buy something better (usually more expensive). As the 1st generation immigrants, many of us have gotten too used to living frugal, even when can afford it. Subconsciously, the sense of insecurity has us ultimately go for the "best value" ones like Japanese cars. So maybe it's time to feel our true selves when it’s time.

I personal like X5 better (which is what I decided on recently). It looks/feels more energetic and fun spirit. MB seems to be too serious. Acura, hmm, time for a change…
