I thought Toyota buys them back at 1.5 x market price?

I have an America coworker who bought one, 2-3 months later, it failed inspection. Then he sold it back to Toyota at 1.5 x price--made a little extra. Then he turn around found another Toyota truck from a dealer.. He checked and rechecked with Toyota-- he was told no problem. If it fails again, we will buy it back at 1.5 x price. Sure enough, it didn't pass the inspection. So he tried to sell it back to Toyota.. At first Toyota would not take it-- you can not make a living doing this! But this guy had all the converstion records he had with Toyota customer service and all... finally, they bought it back. He made afew extra thousands this time. I swear it is true. I am just not sure whether it was a Tandra or Tacoma.
